Can we help?

During this period of temporary closure, it is of paramount importance to us to support all our members in whatever way we can and whilst our main aim is to keep as many people active as possible, our attention has also been focussed on those members who may be struggling to access the support they need.

As such, last week we began a series of calls to all our members, starting with the over 70s to see how they were getting on and if there was anything we could do to help. We’re pleased to report that the majority of people we spoke to are doing well and have support from either friends, family members or neighbours. However, there are a handful of members who welcomed the offer and subsequently, our staff still on site have begun a series of food deliveries to those who need it.

As we continue these calls, we envision this demand may increase and this is where we would like to open up this support network to our wider membership database and ask for your help. If you are able to offer any support in terms of food shopping and deliveries to those members who cannot do this for themselves, then please get in touch with your name, availability and area that you could potentially offer support to. This will allow us to match you to another local member who may need help during these difficult times. Equally, if you yourself need support, please let us know and we will do everything we can to facilitate your needs.
