Member's update

Dear Members,

Thank you for your continued support.

It has been a difficult year for us all and we are so very grateful for your positive comments about our colleagues and our services.  It is this that drives us on each day as we march quickly towards 2021 in the hope that a new start will deliver a better environment for us all to get back the freedom in leading a healthy and active lifestyle.

It is with a great deal of sadness that recently we were informed of news that two of our daytime members have sadly lost their battles against ill health.  Peter Bottomley and Brenda Hallows were both popular visitors to the club, may they rest in peace and their families be comforted at this time. My colleagues and friends at the Waterside will miss them dearly.

To assist us as we close out 2020, our continued opening in Tier 3 is based on us operating a COVID secure premises.  Hand washing, social distancing, the control of visitor numbers and site sanitation are all things we need to do together to be able to operate.  Our site is subject to monitoring and we thank you for assisting us with your adoption to all these new systems and requests from us.

We are working on some new and exciting initiatives to bring to the club in early 2021, experiences which will hopefully provide a better experience as we cope with some of the restrictions.  More details will follow as we confirm timings.

To close our note we would like to send our warmest regards to the members that continue to shield from site, you are all missed, a gap remains in our day that you would have filled with the odd word, hello, like or concern.  We will see you hopefully in the new year to welcome you back to leading a healthier lifestyle.

Kind regards

Jamie Lyne
