Waterside club update

We really hope that this finds you and your families safe and well.  It is our genuine hope and prayer that at the end of the lockdown period that all our members are healthy and well.

In a small but not insignificant way we have found comfort in the news that being healthy and active assists in the fight against this most dreadful and unexpected epidemic which has touched us all.

We will all know of people that have sadly not come through this difficult time and having experience of this myself, then I offer my deepest condolences for this loss.

On a brighter note we hope you have found the resources that we have sent out useful and in some way these have kept you connected to our community.

Our team

The majority of our colleagues have been furloughed and we are grateful for the government’s intervention to assist us in maintaining our workforce.

All our colleagues have been paid in March and April and we are looking into ways to support our community of freelancers and self employed instructors as we progress through the next few months.

We do have some essential tasks being carried out on site to keep the site safe and well maintained for your return.  We thank these staff for their dedication and support.

Your membership with us

All memberships are, and will continue to be, frozen and we will be in touch closer to the time of opening to communicate plans to open the business.

In the meantime, we would encourage you to make the most of the daily workouts on the MyWellness App – if you do not currently have an account, you can register here and also the daily class videos that are being posted on all social media channels and the Waterside App. If you would like to stay further connected you can join our private member group on Facebook or if you’d like some further support, our Personal Training team are still offering online PT and home workouts so please get in touch with us on this.

We will continue to add to our online offering throughout the temporary closure so if there is anything specific you’d like to see, please let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

Reopening your club

At this time we anticipate that clubs like ours will be able to reopen around June time.  We have been planning this since the site’s closure and we are investing now in making our business a safe environment to assist the UK’s return to business. 

Our plans on this will be communicated out to you all in our next bulletin and as always we welcome your questions and queries on the decisions we take.  Please be assured we are investing now in anticipation that whilst the club environment will be a safer one we need to do our part to make sure it continues to be so. 

These are perhaps changes for the better and the long term.
